Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Traveling Director of Nursing (RN DON) to support our skilled nursing facilities across the state of Ohio. This full-time leadership role is ideal for a seasoned nursing professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and is comfortable traveling to ensure clinical excellence and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide on-site clinical leadership and oversight at skilled nursing facilities throughout Ohio
Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
Support, mentor, and guide facility DONs and nursing teams
Assist with surveys, audits, corrective action plans, and quality improvement initiatives
Collaborate with leadership to maintain high standards of resident care
Step in as interim DON support when needed
Reporting Structure:
This position reports directly to the Regional Director of Nursing and the Director of Clinical Services.
Qualifications:
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Ohio or compact)
Previous Director of Nursing (DON) experience required
Skilled nursing / long-term care experience
Ability and willingness to travel throughout the state of Ohio
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Knowledge of regulatory compliance and survey processes
