Job Summary
As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you will provide direct care and support to adults with developmental disabilities in their homes and community settings. Youll promote independence, respect, and dignity while helping clients achieve their personal goals.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with daily living activities (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, toileting, and dressingSupport individuals with meal prep, feeding, shopping, and household tasksPromote independence through life skills coaching, goal tracking, and community engagementTransport clients to appointments, recreational activities, jobs, etc.Implement Individual Support Plans (IISP), Positive Behavior Support Plans (PBSP), and Functional AssessmentsManage client financial ledgers daily, with weekly verification and monthly reconciliationMaintain accurate documentation using QuickMAR and internal DICE systemsAssist with medication administration and follow nurse delegation guidelinesAdhere to DICE policies and procedures at all timesParticipate in all mandatory DICE training sessions and ongoing developmentRespond to emergencies, follow safety protocols, and report incidents per DICE IR policyParticipate in team meetings and contribute to collaborative careQualifications
High School Diploma or GEDMust be at least 18 years oldValid WA drivers license and reliable transportation with insuranceAbility to pass a background check per DSHS guidelinesCPR / First Aid, Bloodborne Pathogens, and Positive Behavior Support training (provided if needed)Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities preferredStrong interpersonal and communication skillsReliable, compassionate, detail-oriented, and team-drivenWhat We Offer
