Travel EP Lab Tech – Electrophysiology Monitoring | 13 Weeks | Rochester, NY

Start Date : August 4, 2025

Schedule : 3x12-hour shifts per week

Shift : Primarily Days , with some evenings and on-call as required

Contract Length : 13 weeks

Location : Rochester, NY

Job Summary :

Seeking experienced Electrophysiology Monitoring Techs (EP Techs) to support a busy and advanced EP Lab in a leading healthcare system. This is a patient-centered, team-driven environment requiring professionalism, adaptability, and technical precision.

Primary Responsibilities Include :

Assist Electrophysiologists during EP studies, ablations , and cardiac device implants

Perform pacing maneuvers and measurements using GE MacLab or CardioLab systems

Support procedures involving Carto, Abbott, and Rhythmia mapping systems

Communicate with physicians and team members regarding procedural needs and equipment availability

Participate in room turnover and procedure setup to maintain on-time starts and efficient workflow

Coordinate care with Charge Nurse and third-party vendors

Typical Procedures Performed :

Ablations (RF & Cryo) : A-Fib, Atrial Flutter, AVNRT, WPW, Atrial Tach, and other arrhythmias

Cardiac Device Implants :

Pacemakers : Single, Dual, BiV, CSP

ICDs : Transvenous, Subcutaneous

Leadless Pacemakers, ILRs, and Loop Recorders

LAAC Devices : Watchman and Amulet

HRE Laser Lead Extraction (low-risk)

Job Requirements : License :

RCES certification or Radiologic Technologist license (depending on background)

Experience : Minimum 2 years in Electrophysiology or related Cath / EP lab setting

Certifications :

BLS – American Heart Association only

Preferred Skills (Not Required, but Highly Desirable) :

Bloom Stimulator experience

GE MacLab / CardioLab proficiency

Epic documentation experience

Cardiac implant or structural heart scrub experience
