Overview

Advanced Gynecology , a practice partner of Together Women's Health is seeking a PRN Pre-Op / Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse. The Pre-Op / Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. This role includes pre-operative assessment, patient preparation, and post-operative recovery, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and continuity of care in accordance with established protocols and nursing standards.

Responsibilities

Pre-Operative Duties :

• Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments prior to surgery, including medical history review, vital signs, medication reconciliation, and patient education.
• Ensure informed consent and pre-op checklists are completed.
• Start IVs and administer pre-operative medications as ordered.
• Communicate with surgical and anesthesia teams to coordinate patient care.
• Provide emotional support to patients and families.
