As a Security Officer specializing in access control at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, managing entry points, and providing outstanding customer service and communication. Pay Rate : $17.25 / Hour

Job Schedule : DayTimeMon05 : 00 AM - 12 : 00 PMFri12 : 00 PM - 07 : 00 PMSat05 : 30 AM - 01 : 30 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at the location.
  • Monitor and control access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and / or prohibited items from entering the premises.
  • Verify credentials and identification of individuals entering and exiting the location, maintaining accurate records as required.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns.
  • Communicate promptly with Allied Universal management and / or site representatives regarding incidents, issues, or potential concerns.
  • Support emergency response efforts as directed by site-specific procedures and Allied Universal protocols.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Possess a valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by the Transportation Security Administration.
  • A Guard Card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
