Travel Nurse Job Details

Location : Springfield, OH 45504

Healthcare Setting : 30-bed Med / Surg Tele unit (orthopedic, bariatric, and medical surgical patients)

Assignment Type : Travel nursing contract

Duration : 13 weeks (Start : 11 / 3 / 2025 – End : 2 / 2 / 2026)

Shift : 12-hour night shifts

Weekly Hours : 36 hours per week

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1680 - $1800

Team Nursing Model : 1 RN, 1 LPN, 2 techs per shift, 1 HUC on days

Remote Telemetry Patients : Yes

Patient Ratio : 1 : 10

Scrub Color : Navy Blue

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active RN license in Ohio or compact state (required)

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required prior to direct patient care)

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), CCRN, PCCN, and NIH Stroke Certification (preferred)

Minimum 1 year of RN experience (required)

6 months of acute care hospital RN experience (preferred)

EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) experience (preferred)

Completion of Critical Care Course (preferred)

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Ability to thrive in a collaborative team nursing environment

Med / Surg Tele RN Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans

Safely administer medications in accordance with Ohio nursing standards and facility policies

Coordinate patient care and facilitate communication across hospital departments

Champion patient safety and participate in quality improvement initiatives

Manage care for patients with multi-system organ failure and multisystem trauma

Monitor and care for patients with IVs, ports, PICC lines, and remote telemetry

Administer Heparin drips and manage oxygen therapy (up to 6L NC, intermittent BiPAP)

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, patients, and families to deliver compassionate, evidence-based care

Respond effectively to rapidly changing patient conditions and medical emergencies

Maintain professionalism, practice self-care, and foster resilience in a fast-paced healthcare setting
