We are hiring an experienced Pit Loader for our Columbus Quarry plant in Fortson, GA. This position will operate an off-road WA800 or WA600 loader to load Company haul trucks with short rock to send to Primary Plant.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• Comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures. Report on all unsafe conditions and actions to Management and / or Safety Manager immediately.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area and meet other housekeeping needs as required by the Company, MSHA and other regulatory agencies.
• Operate Pit Loader and other heavy equipment to lift and transport raw material to company haul trucks, maintain level floor, and maintain safe loadout face.
• Expeditiously and safely load out trucks.
• Maintain daily cleanliness of heavy equipment being operated.
• Perform daily pre-shifts on the loader and complete the pre-shift forms, notify management immediately of any unsafe conditions.
• Coordinate with management on inventories and demand.
• Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
