About the Opportunity
Our client, a leader in the Biotech industry, is looking for a skilled Senior SAP Finance Project / Program Manager to join their team for a ~9-month engagement. This project involves overseeing the implementation of critical, high‑visibility financial systems, specifically a Product P&L / Revenue Recognition implementation and a Blackline implementation. This is a high‑impact role that requires a self‑motivated professional who can hit the ground running and deliver results quickly.
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables
- Project Leadership : Lead and manage two simultaneous, high-priority finance projects : a Product P&L / Revenue Recognition implementation and a Blackline implementation.
- SAP Finance Implementation : Direct the configuration and implementation of core SAP Finance modules (FICO, AP, AR, GL, Profit Center Accounting) to support new revenue-generating products and facilitate correct Profit and Loss (P&L) statements.
- Financial Process Improvement : Oversee the Blackline implementation for accounting close process management, including task management and account tie‑out functionality.
- Stakeholder & Risk Management : Manage all project communications, including effectively running Executive Steering Committee meetings, and proactively manage project risks and issues with an expectation of fast turnaround.
- Vendor Management : Coordinate and manage external vendors, including high‑level system implementation partners and SAP Application Management Services (AMS).
Required Skills & Experience
10+ years experience as a Project / Program Manager, with experience managing at least 10 major enterprise system implementations, each lasting 6 months or longer.Deep expertise in implementing and configuring core SAP Finance modules (FICO / AP / AR / GL). Knowledge of SAP implementation methodologies is an absolute must. This isn't a learning role—you need to be a subject matter expert.Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and manage your own time effectively to meet project goals, with an ability to execute quickly and adapt rapidly without relying on overly bureaucratic or structured processes.Experience with complex, cross‑functional project management impacting multiple business functions (Accounting, IT, Finance / FP&A, and Supply Chain) and featuring executive‑level visibility.Strong communication skills to provide clear and concise status updates to the project team and manage executive‑level steering committee meetings.Nice‑to‑Have Qualifications
