Resource Teacher
Saint Leo the Great Catholic School is seeking a full time Resource Teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. Saint Leo the Great Catholic School is a vibrant Catholic School serving the community of Fairfax City and the greater Fairfax County region.

Duties include :
- Create Student Assistance Plans
- Work with teachers to ensure that student accommodations are met.
- Provide small group instruction, and individualized instruction for students with special needs
- Participate in eligibility meetings and IEP / ISP meetings
- Use research-based intervention practices
- Assist in screening new students applying for enrollment
- Help classroom teachers through observations and assessments of students recommended for referral
- Provide recommendations to teachers for classroom strategies, accommodations to address students' needs
- Standardized testing assistance
- Facilitate meetings with teachers and parents
Ideal candidate has :
- Master's degree in special education & Virginia state licensure or the ability to obtain VCEA certification
- Experience in special education
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
