Position Overview :
As a Laboratory Technician, you will play a critical role in our water quality and purity testing laboratory. You will be responsible for carrying out complex and specialized tests, routine maintenance of laboratory instruments, data analysis, and ensuring the accuracy of results.
Additionally, you will communicate with various stakeholders and support the overall lab safety and quality programs.
Key Responsibilities :
Conduct Specialized Testing : Perform a wide range of water quality and purity tests, including titrations, ICP, conductivity, pH, and silica tests, following well-documented procedures.
Process Improvement : Identify opportunities for process improvement within your work area and contribute to enhancing laboratory efficiency.
Project Work : Collaborate on specific projects under the guidance of technical specialists such as Chemists or Engineers.
Data Management : Record accurate data, observations, and conclusions. Ensure data integrity and perform detailed calculations and statistical analysis.
Instrument Maintenance : Perform routine maintenance on laboratory instruments and, when necessary, follow documented procedures for light repair work.
Supervision : Plan your own work and may direct the day-to-day efforts of others within the research program or test schedule constraints.
Communication : Interact with laboratory customers and internal stakeholders, providing routine updates on issues related to data and calculations.
Safety and Quality : Maintain a strong commitment to lab safety and quality programs to ensure the highest standards are met.
Technical Expertise :
Basic level of expertise required.
Proficiency in advanced measurement techniques and adherence to excellent lab practices.
Ability to follow well-documented directions and learn complex instrumental methods.
Business Knowledge :
Basic understanding of the relative values of different parts of the business to aid in priority setting.
Communication :
Engage in communications related to data, calculations, and supply needs with various stakeholders, including Scientists, Supply Chain, Lab Managers, R&D Managers, Customers, Field Teams, and Account Managers.
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biology, or a related field with 0-1 year of experience; or
Associate's degree in general science, chemistry, biology, or a similar field with 4+ years of experience.
Additional Requirements :
Experience with lab instruments is preferred.
Industry background in chemistry is preferred.9250233
