Responsibilities :
- Provide consistent, reliable support to an industry-leading carbon desk by :
- Ensuring the accuracy and timely processing of transactions, when required.
- Interact with brokerage receivables team.
- Book trades in trade confirmation system and send brokerage confirmations in a timely manner.
- Enter block trades on exchange for carbon derivative trades.
- Maintain historical price sheets across a variety of carbon emission credits; and
- Prepare end-of-day price and monthly market commentary reports.
- After learning desk operations / processes and establishing a baseline of knowledge in carbon emission trading, candidate will be expected to develop new business, including :
- Supporting the development of marketing materials for new targeted markets.
- Listening and providing updates from industry / regulatory sessions.
- Preparing target lists of potential customers in emerging environmental markets; and
- Cold calling new customers to pitch desk services.
- Opportunity to learn carbon trading from industry veterans and to build a book of business and inherit existing desk customers
- Acting within an account executive capacity by helping develop, maintain, and support both active desk clients and leads.
- Actively communicating market activity and developing trading / hedgeing strategies to clients / prospects.

- Ability to maintain a polished and professional demeanor.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to work under rigid time constraints.
- Strong attention to detail. Ability to multi-task effectively.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Baseline knowledge of environmental commodity markets preferred but not required.
- Ability to learn quickly and absorb dense regulatory and policy information.
- Series 3 preferred but, not required immediately.
- Strong working knowledge of the entire Microsoft office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & Outlook.
Educational Qualifications :
Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Economics, Finance or Environmental Sciences or Policy
Salary : $50,000 -$100,000
The expected base salary for this position ranges from $50,000 to $100,000. The actual base salary will be determined on an individualized basis taking into account a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, education, and, where applicable, licenses or certifications held.
In addition to base salary and a competitive benefits package, this position may be eligible for additional types of compensation including discretionary bonuses and other short- and long-term incentives (e.
g., deferred cash, equity, etc.).
