About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Experience : Minimum of 2 years required

License : Current and valid Registered Nurse license

Certifications : AHA BLS, ACLS, NIHSS preferred

Must-Have :

• Charge experience preferred
• Patient ratio experience required
• Experience with Epic charting system preferred

Description :

The CT ICU is a regional destination for comprehensive circulatory and respiratory support for critically ill adults.

Specializations include open-heart surgeries, ventricular assist devices, heart and lung transplants, ECMO, aortic aneurysm repair, and vascular surgeries.

The unit utilizes a range of bedside modalities, from vasoactive medications to complete cardio-pulmonary support.

The focus is on holistic health and improving outcomes through a multidisciplinary team approach.

Nurse-to-patient ratios vary based on acuity, typically ranging from 1 : 1 to 2 : 1.

Weekend shifts are required, with a minimum of 6 shifts per 6-week scheduling period.

Travelers may need to float within scope to meet the facility's needs.

Previous experience in similar settings is beneficial.

Candidates are encouraged to demonstrate a variety of critical care skills, including managing ventilated patients and administering multiple complex therapies.

Additional qualifications include experience with central line management, titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips, and assisting in various critical care procedures.

The role requires a commitment to patient care and working collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team.

Work will involve taking care of patients across different age groups, including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
