Position Description :

We are looking for a Professional Engineer to join our Community Design Team to improve infrastructure in our Tampa, Orlando or Palm Bay office. Candidates must have a bachelor's degree in civil engineering, ten to fifteen years of experience in design and project / task management and a Florida Professional Engineer license. Knowledge of Florida permitting at a local, regional, state, and national level and CADD is also required. A Project Manager Certification is preferred. Candidates must be self-motivated and able to work well with others. A flexible hybrid-remote work schedule available after 30 days of employment.

Typical responsibilities include :

• Manage and provide technical support for transportation / roadway design (local and Florida Department of Transportation), stormwater, potable water and wastewater, and general municipal civil engineering projects
• Responsible for project proposal development including positioning, approach, preparation and pricing
• Responsible for project execution including scope, schedule and budget
• Manage resources to successfully deliver project to client on time and under budget while meeting or exceeding client expectations
• Provide design / technical expertise to project
• Coordinate the design function with various team members on the project
• Ensure project engineers have knowledge and tools to complete tasks
• Maintain lasting client relationships
• Generate additional sales through business development activities
• Supervise engineering project review (QA / QC) process
• Develop and complete applications, permits, reports and / or specifications as required
• Assist with project reports and technical presentations
• Attend client, staff and project meetings
• Estimate fees, review project plans and specifications
• Maintain a safe working environment
