About the Role
The organization is seeking an Inaugural Chief Medical Officer (CMO) to join its executive leadership team. In this vital role, you will be instrumental in overseeing and advancing quality, patient safety, and care delivery. You will collaborate with fellow leaders to enhance operational processes, improve both patient and provider experiences, and uphold the highest standards in patient care quality and efficiency.
As the CMO, you will serve as the primary liaison between administration and hospital staff, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment. Your involvement in medical staff affairs will include privileging, credentialing, peer review, and evaluating provider performance. You will also play a key role in physician recruitment, retention, and engagement.
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 10-15 years of clinical experience and at least 5-10 years in a leadership role focused on quality and safety. A medical degree (MD, DO, MD / PhD) and board certification in pediatrics or a pediatric sub-specialty are essential. Strong leadership, management, and communication skills are a must, along with a proven track record of effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
Experience in quality improvement methodologies and behavioral / organizational change is crucial. We seek an inspiring leader capable of driving clinical excellence and guiding the organization through growth, change, and expansion.
