PenFed is hiring a (Hybrid) Finance Rotational Associate at our Tysons, Virginia location. PenFeds Finance Rotational Associate Program is a two-year, full-time hybrid position consisting of four 6-month job placements within the Finance department, with a focus on Accounting, Balance Sheet Management, Finance Transformation, and FP&A. The Associate will have the opportunity to develop a strong foundational understanding of these areas, while contributing their unique insights and technical quantitative skills to achieving departmental goals. Throughout the program, the Associate will develop a professional network across the entire credit union, while also gaining exposure to senior decision makers. Upon program completion, Associates are expected to transition into positions of greater responsibility within PenFed.

Responsibilities

Accounting :

• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual internal and external reports related to financial statements and assist with ensuring compliance of such financial statements with management standards, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and regulatory requirements.
• Duties may include preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and creating schedules in support of research and analysis.
• Develop insightful management analytical reports that highlight business outcomes and value drivers.
• Work on enhancements to accounting processes that are candidates for process automation.

Qualifications

An equivalent combination of education and experience is considered.

This position will not supervise employees.

There are no additional certifications required.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to an indoor office setting with moderate noise.

Travel is not required.
