Must-Have :

• Willingness to float to other Med / Surg Units, ICU Units, and ED waiting rooms
• Every other weekend availability required
• Proof of Flu vaccination or approved medical exemption

Description :

This position is for a registered nurse specializing in medical surgical nursing.

The nurse will provide care for patients with neurological disorders such as stroke, epilepsy, and multiple sclerosis.

The unit also cares for post-operative patients from spinal surgeries including laminectomy and spinal fusion.

In addition, the unit includes telemetry and bariatric beds, allowing for diverse patient care.

There is also a specific area for monitoring seizure patients starting from age 5.

The nurse to patient ratio is typically 1 : 4 or 1 : 5.

Experience with utilizing EPIC and Pyxis is beneficial.

Candidates must be willing to complete NIHSS certification prior to start if not already certified.

The position requires strong teamwork and communication skills to work effectively within an interdisciplinary support team.
