Insight Global is hiring : Designer in Los Angeles

Insight Global is looking for a Designer to join an enterprise retail company in Vancouver in a hybrid work model for a 6-month contract with possibility of conversion. As a part of the design team, you will assist in establishing the creative direction for the brand and through a deep understanding of guests needs, cultural references and science of feel solutions, to create innovative products that address guests’ unmet needs. You will be a part of the social design team, with a focus on woven fabrics, lifestyle and ready to wear garments. This group is characterized by a very elevated handwriting aesthetic and expression. This team aims to create products distinguished by their silhouettes, fit, function and style. As a part of this team, you will be responsible for designing the global product assortment, creating the global colour palette, seasonal prints, and graphics. This group is dedicated to cultivating a culture of continuous learning and growth, where Designers are empowered to push boundaries and unleash their full potential. Someone with a background as a Designer, with both handwritten and technical illustration skills, and who has an elevated aesthetic eye characteristic of brands such as Jacquemus, The Row, Loewe, and / or Phoebe Philo, will be a great fit for this position.

Must-haves :

• 2+ years’ experience in a Designer position
• Efficient at sketching at an elevated handwriting aesthetic level
• Proficient in Adobe Suite (Design, Illustrator and Photoshop) BA, BFA, or BS in Design (or equivalent)
• Aesthetic intelligence congruent to brands such as Jacquemus, The Row, Loewe, and / or Phoebe Philo
• Exceptional verbal, written and visual communication
• Innovative thinker with the ability to generate fresh ideas and push the boundaries of product creation
• Understanding of global market trends and consumer behaviour with the ability to translate into designs that align with the brand
