Network Engineer | Midvale, UT

Nexeo HR is hiring a highly skilled Network Engineer in Midvale, Utah. In this role, you’ll design, implement, maintain, and monitor enterprise-class network environments, including data center switches, routers, firewalls, and load balancers. The ideal candidate is an experienced IT professional with expertise in LAN / WAN, VPNs, network security, and enterprise networking protocols who thrives in building reliable, scalable, and high-performance network systems. Responsibilities

• Configure, install, and maintain network devices and services (routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS)
• Perform operational support, network maintenance, and system upgrades (patches, hotfixes, security configurations)
• Troubleshoot and resolve network performance, connectivity, and configuration issues
• Plan and implement enterprise network projects, including design, optimization, and upgrades
• Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity planning
• Design and maintain network monitoring and management systems
• Collaborate with engineering and IT teams on infrastructure projects and implementations
• Provide 24 / 7 on-call support on a rotating basis, including after-hours and weekends
• Mentor junior network staff and act as a technical leader for the operations team
• Research and recommend hardware / software upgrades for improved performance and security
• Ensure network reliability, scalability, and security compliance
• Meet with internal customers to assess needs and implement tailored networking solutions
