The Position
The Park District is currently recruiting for three (3) Temporary Business Analysts in Information Services, to serve no more than six (6) months . These positions will be working out of the Administrative HQ in Oakland, CA.

What You'll Be Doing :
Under direction, performs a variety of analytical and technical work in support of departmental software applications, including web-based programs; and performs related duties as assigned.
Essential Functions
The following duties are typical for this classification. Incumbents may not perform all of the listed duties and / or may be required to perform additional or different duties from those set forth below to address business needs and changing business practices.
Performs day-to-day administration and operating support of the Park District's software applications and programs, including Financial ERP systems, etc.Investigates and analyzes user reported system issues including unacceptable response times and software errorsPerforms a full range of duties that includes working with other departments to gather requirements to create reports from various databases using report writing software tools provided by the vendorAnalyzes and reviews business processes and procedures for potential improvementAddresses technical issues and troubleshoots applicationsActs as lead in major systems installations, application migration efforts, and integration with existing systemsCoordinates with user departments to implement conversions and upgradesPrepares and maintains process and report-writing documentationDevelops project timelinesWorks with sensitive data involving Park District employeesDevelops and maintains employee security access within the Park District's software applications to ensure appropriate levels of accessAnalyzes Park District policy, procedures and processes to maximize automation opportunities while maintaining effectiveness, increasing efficiency, and strengthening internal control structure.Research workflow model routing issues, enhances functionality through modifications of transitions, activities, conditions and vbscriptsCreates and maintains workflow roles including changes to employee role assignmentsParticipates in software implementations including data conversions requiring the use of SQL and basic database administration such as, data normalizationResponds to Park District employee requests for assistance and trainingPerforms related duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications
Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be :
Education : A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in business information systems, or a related field
AND
Experience : Three years of experience providing technical support for information systems, including report development. Experience as a user of customer information systems is desirable
