POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES :
The University Athletic Association at the University of Florida is looking for a Director to work with internal and external constituents to heighten the University of Florida’s athletics program’s visibility and brand awareness with primary emphasis on the football team.
Serves as the public and media liaison for the football head coach and assistant coaches, and works in collaboration with the Assistant Director to manage PR for football student-athletes.
Assists with staff organization and development and Communications department philosophy.

MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS :
Required Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field
- Four years of related professional experience
- Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Design Suite
- Ability to communicate effectively, develop and execute strategic plans, and to provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers
- Ability to exercise discretion and good judgement while making decisions that impact the UAA
- Ability to engage effectively with others of diverse cultures or backgrounds
- Ability to work a non-standard work week which will include evenings, weekends, holidays, and extensive overnight travel
Preferred Qualifications :
Experience in an intercollegiate or professional athletics environment
