Engineering TechnicianAbout the Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Technician to support our distribution operations. Under general supervisory direction, you will be responsible for troubleshooting equipment and process issues, performing and documenting machine maintenance procedures, and partnering with engineering to improve equipment reliability and process control. This is a hands-on role that blends technical expertise with continuous improvement leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Perform preventative maintenance and calibration procedures; author related documentation
Maintain inventory and order spare parts for equipment
Troubleshoot process, material, and equipment issues to reduce downtime and improve yields
Conduct maintenance on automated PC and PLC-controlled equipment
Design and implement equipment, tooling, and fixture changes to enhance reliability
Revise documents and methods to improve product and process quality
Collaborate with vendors to procure and install tooling, fixtures, and equipment
Assist in writing and executing validation plans and reports
Support Value Improvement Projects and cost-saving initiatives
Collect and analyze data for process characterization and scrap reduction
Partner with internal teams to improve material quality and delivery
Train and provide technical support to warehouse personnel and technicians
Required Qualifications
3 to 5 years of experience with a High School Diploma or equivalent training or apprenticeship
Strong electrical and mechanical skills
Excellent problem-solving abilities
Self-motivated with a drive to improve business performance
Effective communicator with peers and cross-functional teams
Preferred Qualifications
Associate degree or equivalent work experience in a related discipline with 8 to 10 years of experience
Experience maintaining automated conveyor and print / apply systems
Proficiency in PLC ladder logic troubleshooting, preferably Allen Bradley
Background in distribution operations
Lean or Six Sigma experience
Familiarity with Zebra industrial printers

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Alpharetta, GA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $29.00 - $50.00 / hr.
