National Accounts Manager

The National Accounts Manager will play a pivotal role in driving the growth of our product lines by managing and expanding relationships with our existing 25 key accounts. This role focuses on buyer relations, working closely with companies that operate online marketplaces and websites to maximize sales of our outdoor toys and equipment. The successful candidate will be a strategic, results-driven professional who can deeply understand our product offerings, develop tailored sales strategies, and implement special campaigns to upsell and increase product visibility across multiple sales channels within these accounts. This is not a role focused on acquiring new clients but rather on strengthening existing partnerships to achieve ambitious sales targets.
Responsibilities
- Account Management : Maintain and nurture relationships with 25 key accounts, serving as the primary point of contact for buyers and decision-makers within these companies.
- Product Expertise : Develop an in-depth understanding of our product portfolio to effectively communicate features, benefits, and unique selling points to buyers.
- Upselling and Cross-Selling : Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell products within existing accounts, increasing sales volume and diversifying product placements across their sales channels.
- Strategic Sales Campaigns : Design and implement targeted sales campaigns to boost product visibility and sales on partners' online marketplaces and websites.
- Channel Optimization : Collaborate with buyers to ensure our products are effectively positioned across various sales channels, including e-commerce platforms, websites, and other digital portals.
- Portal Expansion : Work with accounts to create additional sales portals or enhance existing ones, ensuring broader product reach and optimized sales strategies.
- Sales Strategy Development : Develop and execute innovative sales outreach strategies tailored to each account's unique needs and market positioning.
- Performance Tracking : Monitor sales performance metrics, analyze account data, and provide regular reports to leadership on account growth and campaign effectiveness.
- Relationship Building : Foster strong, trust-based relationships with buyers and stakeholders to ensure long-term partnerships and consistent sales growth.
- Market Insights : Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to inform product strategies and account management approaches.
Qualifications
Experience : Minimum of 5 years of experience in account management, sales, or buyer relations, with a proven track record of working with buyers at companies operating online marketplaces or e-commerce platforms.Industry Knowledge : Experience managing relationships with accounts that sell products through digital portals, with a focus on upselling and strategic sales initiatives.Product Acumen : Strong ability to learn and articulate detailed product knowledge, with a passion for understanding and promoting outdoor recreational products.Sales Expertise : Demonstrated success in upselling, cross-selling, and implementing creative sales campaigns to drive revenue growth within existing accounts.Communication Skills : Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence decision-makers at partner companies.Analytical Skills : Proficiency in analyzing sales data and performance metrics to inform strategic decisions and optimize account performance.Collaboration : Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams, including marketing and product development, to align account strategies with company goals.Technical Skills : Familiarity with e-commerce platforms, CRM software, and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Amazon Seller Central or similar platforms is a plus.Adaptability : Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt strategies to meet evolving market demands.Compensation
