Business System Analyst - Hybrid

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Business Systems Analyst - WMO Services Lay with our client in the financial industry located in Minneapolis, MN. This is a 6 + month contract to hire position. This role is hybrid, working 4 days a week onsite. Compensation : $65.00 – $75.00 per hour W2, depending on skill and experience level. Summary Sr. Business Analyst is responsible for business analysis activities on medium to large size projects. The role demonstrates advanced knowledge and ability, and can apply the competency in new or complex situations and guides other professionals. The role is responsible for execution of all aspects of requirements delivery- planning, elicitation, analysis and documentation, management, and support - for changes to Business Areas and Technology. Responsibilities Perform requirements stakeholder analysis to identify impacted or influencing groups and stakeholder requirements responsibilities Develop plans and accurate estimates for completion of requirements, continuously improving the level of detail and accuracy of estimates Manage risks, assumptions and constraints for requirements, and communicate to appropriate parties Define the business analysis approach including tasks and deliverables based on the project and delivery methodology Lead requirements prioritization and leverage techniques to drive out business priorities Facilitate collaborative sessions with large and diverse business stakeholder groups to drive requirements discovery, analysis, and review Apply advanced elicitation techniques to work with different types of stakeholder groups Analyze and document scope of the business solution using enterprise-standard requirements methodology Review, analyze and evaluate user needs to create systems solutions that support business strategies. Create system specifications that drive system development and implementation. Mining data from primary and secondary sources, analyzing and reorganizing data in a format that can be easily read. Skills Must-have 5+ years of Experience working as a Business Analyst with progressively increasing responsibilities in the areas of requirements management on large and complex projects Proven experience with various project delivery methodologies such as Waterfall, Iterative and / or Agile Experience in requirements planning and prioritization including stakeholder analysis and effort estimation Successful candidates will possess the following : High Curiosity Ability to turn conceptual ideas into business requirements Ability to ask relevant, probing questions of SME's, regardless of authority level These are both data heavy roles, so experience with API, SQL and data mapping are required WMO -Services Layer : Must have : API experience, Strong SQL and data mapping Nice haves : Prior experience as a developer may be helpful Full stack (Front end / UI and back end experience) would be ideal for this role WMO is adding additional staff to one of their feature teams. This role will dork on the data layer for new features on the WMO application (Web and Mobile) Strong driver needed, with BSA / Data Analyst skill set Nice-to-have Professional in Business Analysis Certification (PMI – PBA) Masters Certificate in Business Analysis Certified Business Analysis Professional (IIBA-CBAP or CCBA) Agile Certification (CSM, CPO) Trading systems experience Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
