Indiana Health Information Exchange’s (IHIE) Solution Engineering team develops technologies that directly impact the quality, safety and efficiency of healthcare. We are seeking a Manager of Software Quality Assurance with expertise in application testing in an agile environment.
Summary : Works closely with the Product Owners, Developers, SQA Analysts, and other teams to manage the delivery of software testing against IHIE systems. This role is responsible for defining testing best practices, directing the Testing Team’s strategies, implementing quality assurance processes, managing SQA resources, employing automated testing tools, and coordinating the team towards company goals.

Team Management
- Prioritize and manage day-to-day operations of the IHIE’s Testing Team
- Coordinate with IHIE Managers, Directors, POs, and PMs to ensure the Testing Team is providing high quality support and successful software testing
- Address inter-team and intra-team knowledge transfer, cross training, communication, documentation, relationships, and cooperation
- Report team status, accomplishments, progress, and issues
- Manage HR team responsibilities including job descriptions, hiring processes, capacity planning, and identifying resource needs
- Establish personal & team goals based on company objectives
- Evaluate performance and deliver feedback via regular one-on-one meetings and yearly reviews
- Define training plans, promote new experiences, and offer challenges to advance team member professional development
- Drive technical strategic planning, organizing product / team roadmaps, and project execution
Software Quality Assurance
Establish best practices and expectations for processes, artifacts, testing, and deliverablesProvide hands-on involvement and energetic leadership when working with development & support teams to establish practical, effective, and industry-appropriate quality assurance processesImplement tools and software that empower the Testing Team to accomplish goalsAdvise on security aspects and remediate code, configuration, and permissions issuesServe as an escalation or decision point for technical, business, and workflow questionsPlan, design, and create test scripts and test plans for User Stories in Sprints, including identifying or creating applicable test dataProduce technical implementation recommendations, plans, and designs for automated testing teamPerform software testing, document results in standardized tools & templates, and follow up with developers on bug fixesAssist with application troubleshooting and support through defect identification, definition, and replication steps / conditionsMonitor and track system issues through remediation. Communicate status and details to impacted users and stakeholdersPartner with development teams on automated regression testing scripts, test cases, pass / fail criteria, and test report outputRequirements : IHIE Attributes :
