Lead Software Engineer

Were seeking a Lead Software Engineer who combines hands-on development skills with leadership this role you will design develop and modernize applications that power our operations support our 14 production facilities and deliver real-time solutions to customers. Youll contribute to flagship initiatives like the Precoat Portal and CoilZone while also helping to modernize our custom ERP system by transitioning from COBOL and Synon to modern technologies such as Go (Golang) and RPG Free .

This is a great opportunity for an experienced developer who enjoys solving complex problems mentoring teammates and influencing the future direction of technology. Youll collaborate closely with IT peers business stakeholders and leadership to ensure solutions are reliable scalable and aligned with strategic objectives.

Responsibilities

• Design develop and deploy applications that improve efficiency process control and overall business performance.
• Lead and support modernization of legacy systems ensuring scalable and maintainable architectures.
• Provide mentorship code reviews and technical guidance to promote team growth and best practices.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to deliver solutions on time and to high standards.
• Support application enhancements and data-driven solutions across corporate and plant operations.
• Research and recommend new tools and technologies that improve quality performance and team efficiency.

Qualifications :

The following qualifications are preferred but not required. Candidates with equivalent experience transferable skills or a strong willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.

IBM i (AS / 400) : Db2 COBOL RPG Free Synon 2E SQL CL.
