Referral Coordinator

A company is looking for a Referral Coordinator (Remote in Central Texas).

Key Responsibilities

Coordinates all aspects of the patient referral process, ensuring adherence to established timelines and procedures

Obtains referral authorizations from insurance carriers and resolves related issues prior to patient appointments

Maintains updated referral resources and ensures compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

Three years of experience in the healthcare field, including one year in a relevant role such as Medical Assistant or Patient Services Representative

Demonstrated knowledge of federal, state, and local insurance regulations

Experience with electronic health record systems and data entry

Ability to collaborate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
