Job Summary :

This position requires knowledge of mold tooling and understands mold design features (such as cooling, ejection, and alignment systems) and can configure molds for optimal machine compatibility and production readiness.

Key Responsibilities :

• Inspect molds upon receipt from toolroom or previous production runs for wear, damage, or missing components.
• Prepare molds for installation into injection molding machines, including cleaning, assembling components, and installing inserts, lifters, and other mold features.
• Configure mold tooling according to setup sheets, part prints, and process specifications.
• Install and connect water lines, hot runners, thermocouples, and electrical components needed for mold operation.
• Collaborate with Process Technicians and Setup Operators to ensure mold readiness prior to machine startup.
• Maintain tooling records, log maintenance activities, and communicate any mold or tooling issues to the Tooling or Maintenance department.
• Assist with mold changeovers , including disassembly, cleaning, and staging of molds for the next production run.
• Identify opportunities to improve mold change efficiency, tooling longevity, and safety.
