About Astellas Gene Therapies
Astellas Gene Therapies is an Astellas Center of Excellence developing genetic medicines for patients with rare, life-threatening diseases.

The Role
The primary purpose of the Senior Research Associate in Bioanalytics is to analyze tissue samples taken from our nonclinical research studies dosed with gene therapy candidates.
The Senior Research Associate will process tissues for critical endpoints, run analysis on the appropriate instrument, and analyze data outcomes.
In addition, the Senior Research Associate will QC data, optimize protocols, and assist in new assay development.
Responsibilities
- Extract protein, DNA and / or RNA from necropsied animal tissue
- Run ddPCR, qPCR, ELISA, Western Blot etc analysis on tissue extracts
- Cell culture, Neutralizing antibody assays and total antibody assays
- Sample analysis assay optimization
- SOP writing
- Data recording and analysis
- QC analysis
This position directly impacts preclinical outcomes including proof of concept, ED50, MED, clinical hold response and IND enabling studies
