Sheet Metal Mechanic

We are seeking travel Sheet Metal Mechanics and Lead Mechanics with over 3 years of experience for roles available across multiple sites, including Lynchburg and Roanoke, VA. Candidates will be responsible for tasks ranging from reading blueprints to leading teams, working on projects that last from 6 months to a year.

Responsibilities include :

• Read and interpret blueprints to understand project requirements.
• Lead and manage a crew of 2 to 6 team members, depending on experience.
• Install duct work and related equipment efficiently and accurately.
• Perform layout tasks for duct and equipment placement.
• Supervise daily tasks and ensure project timelines are met.
• Transport tools, materials, equipment, and supplies to work sites.
• Maintain and clean work areas to ensure safety and efficiency.

Work environment :

The work schedule includes Monday to Friday from 6 : 00 am to 4 : 30 pm, with Saturday shifts from 6 : 00 am to 2 : 30 pm. The work involves exposure to varying temperatures and all weather conditions. A positive attitude, punctuality, and teamwork are essential, along with reliable transportation.

This is a contract to hire position based out of Lynchburg, Virginia.

Pay and benefits :

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $32.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
