Patient Financial Services Rep

As a Patient Financial Services Rep with Banner's Urology Clinic you will be responsible for running insurance eligibility and benefits to determine amounts due, collecting payments, checking patients in and out, scheduling appointments / procedures as well as other administrative duties as needed.

Location : 2555 E. 13th St, Suite 230, Loveland, CO

Will float to Greeley office, if needed

Schedule : Orientation schedule, 5 / 8's, 8am - 4 : 30pm

After training is completed, option to work 4 / 10's, 7am - 5 : 30pm

This position coordinates a smooth patient flow process by answering phones, scheduling patient appointments, providing registration of patient and insurance information, obtaining required signatures following established processes, procedures and standards. This position also verifies insurance coverage, validates referrals and authorizations, collects patient liability and provides financial guidance to patients to maximize medical services reimbursement efforts.

This also includes accurately posting patients at the point of service and releasing information in accordance with organizational and compliance policies and guidelines.

Core functions include performing registration / check-in processes, verifying insurance eligibility benefits, calculating and collecting patient liability, scheduling office visits and procedures, demonstrating proactive interpersonal communications skills, assisting in responding to requests for patient medical records, and providing a variety of patient services to assist in patient flow.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma / GED or equivalent working knowledge, knowledge of patient financial services, financial, collecting services or insurance industry experience processes, strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with minimal supervision and to work independently.
