Electrical Engineer

Overview

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer with over 5 years of experience to join a dynamic robotics hardware development team. The role focuses on high-speed digital design, System on Chip (SoC) integration, and imaging / sensor electronics. Candidates must be proficient in PCB design, including schematic capture and layout, and experienced with Cadence Allegro / OrCAD. Comfort working in a hands-on lab environment is essential.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain high-speed digital circuits such as SoCs, SOMs, DDR / LPDDR, PCIe, Ethernet, and MIPI.
• Perform schematic capture, PCB layout, and end-of-life component replacements.
• Integrate sensor electronics including cameras, Time of Flight (ToF), LiDAR, radar, and infrared sensors.
• Conduct signal integrity simulations, lab testing, troubleshooting, and compliance validation.
• Collaborate with mechanical, firmware, optical, and compliance teams across the full product lifecycle.
• Work with domestic and international contract manufacturers to resolve design and production issues.
• Apply Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Excellence (DFX) practices early in development.
• Create and maintain technical documentation such as specifications, test plans, Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), and compliance reports.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote a culture of engineering excellence.
• Demonstrate ownership, accountability, and a bias for action in a fast-paced environment.

Location and compensation : Burlington, MA; $110,000.00-$120,000.00 per year; Boston, MA; etc.
