JSG is hiring a Purchasing / Logistics Specialist - Manufacturing for our client in Corona, CA. This is 100% onsite role.
Key Responsibilities
- 2+ years of experience working in logistics, purchasing, inventory, manufacturing, or transportation operations.
- Purchase of raw materials.
- Manage transportation, and other logistics processes.
- Play a key role in purchasing.
- Develop new strategies to streamline processes and reduce cost.
- Ensure that quality, quantity, customer satisfaction, and financial commitments are met.
- Perform metrics reporting and data analysis tasks to identify issues and opportunities for process improvements.
- Partner and communicate with manufacturers, suppliers, and customers.
- Ensure that suppliers comply with our Quality system needs.
- Handle import / export shipments from start to finish, including but not limited to sending arrival notices, shipment tracking, and releasing shipments.
- Coordinating Customs clearance with Customs brokers, and / or Coordinating pickups and deliveries from Ports to Customers door in timely manner
- Firm grasp of supply chain, inventory, purchasing, distribution, business, and management principles.
- Good negotiating skills.
- Working knowledge of logistics, purchasing, MRP and inventory systems.
- Negotiate contract terms of agreement and pricing.
- Compare and evaluate offers from suppliers.
- Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed.
- Track orders and ensure timey delivery.
- Learn to fill gaps in your experience.
- Innovate and implement change.
- Communicate, present, and persuade upper management
- Efficiently oversee the full import / export shipment cycle, including tasks like notifying arrivals, tracking shipments, and facilitating releases.
Salary Range : $60,000-$70,000 annually
