Controller 9544
The Controller is an integral part of the Company and responsible for maintaining accurate financial records. The Controller is responsible for being a cross-functional business partner that is comfortable working between teams to ensure financial accuracy among departments.
This position will report directly to the CFO.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS POSITION :
- Support and advise senior management with insightful financial analysis and commentary on monthly financial results supporting operational and sales management.
- Support senior management in driving performance against financial and operating benchmarks and forecasts.
- Help with the annual budgeting process by working closely with all functional areas to define goals.
- Own the financial close and reporting cycles, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with GAAP.
- Manage and oversee the accounting team taking a hands on approach to accounting operations, payroll, and our outside financial partners.
- Compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Partner with outside auditors to assist with the annual tax preparations.
- Owning the internal audit preparation and execution with outside auditors.
- Participates in ongoing efforts to drive cost and waste out of the organization along with strategic planning processes.
WORK EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & COMPETENCIES :
- Must have prior CPA experience with a public accounting firm.
- Strong FP&A background.
- 3 or more years of experience as a senior-level accountant or finance manager.
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication.
- Ability to work cross-functionally.
- Organization and attention to detail.
EDUCATION :
- Bachelor’s degree required.
