We're looking for a passionate Sous Chef to join our award-winning New Asian restaurant concept! As second-in-command in our dynamic kitchen, you'll play a pivotal role in creating modern Southeast Asian cuisine that seamlessly melds elevated cooking techniques with authentic flavors from across Asia.
Sunda New Asian is an award-winning restaurant concept featuring modern Southeast Asian cuisine, culture, and experiences. Our extensive cross-cultural New Asian menu spans many culinary traditions, allowing guests to choose their desired dining experience while enjoying our impressive specialty cocktails, signature sakes, and curated wine collection.
As Sous Chef, you'll have significant responsibility in planning and directing food preparation while supervising kitchen staff and maintaining our high standards of culinary excellence. You'll be empowered to make a true impact—this is your kitchen to help lead.
What You'll Do
- Plan and direct food preparation in a fast-paced, award-winning kitchen environment
- Supervise and mentor kitchen staff, providing guidance and training on Southeast Asian cooking techniques
- Maintain constant awareness of kitchen operations, identifying and resolving problems at a moment's notice
- Execute elevated cooking techniques and authentic Asian flavors with precision and consistency
- Ensure food quality, presentation, and timing meet Sunda's high standards
- Assist the Executive Chef in menu development and seasonal planning
- Oversee food safety protocols and maintain kitchen cleanliness standards
- Lead by example during high-volume service periods
- Support inventory management and cost control initiatives
What You Bring
