About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse - ICU

Profession : Registered Nurse

Shift : 12 Hour Nights

Hours per Shift : 12

Experience : Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience, excluding travel experience preferred.

License : Registered Nurse (RN)

Certifications : BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, TNCC

Must-Have :

• Epic experience
• Experience with complex ICU patients including surgical, medical, cardiac, neuro, and trauma
• Comfortability working a 48-hour / week contract
• Experience with IV medications, hemodynamic lines, proning, ventilator management, and telemetry

Description :

This position involves caring for complex ICU patients with a range of diagnoses.

Patient types may include surgical, medical, cardiac, neuro, and trauma cases.

Experience with cardiac patients is preferred.

The registered nurse will be required to manage potentially high-acuity patients.

The nurse-to-patient ratio is typically 1 : 1, 1 : 2, or occasionally 1 : 3, depending on acuity.

Nurses will have responsibilities including administering IV medications, monitoring hemodynamic statuses, and ventilator management.

Strong critical thinking and assessment skills are essential in this fast-paced environment.

Ability to work well in a team setting and adapt to quick changes is important.

The role may involve floating to other adult units if necessary.

Weekend and holiday scheduling may occur, with no request for time off during designated peak periods.

The facility provides support staff, including certified nursing assistants and resource nurses.

Charting will be done using the Epic system.

This position requires a commitment to providing high-quality patient care in an intensive care setting.
