Position Summary

The Manager, Professional Practice is a key position on the Professional Practice team who will lead clinical reviews, in-depth evaluations and clinically-focused interviews, in addition to other responsibilities associated with the execution of the prescriber monitoring program.

This role requires in-depth clinical knowledge to conduct analysis of prescribing behaviors and lead clinically focused interviews with prescribers.

This colleague will be able to evaluate clinical practices and identify outlier behaviors.

The successful candidate will have the ability to quickly digest information from various sources, lead aggregate data analysis and in turn synthesize conclusions, prepare reports and present recommendations.

This role requires the individual to find facts using publicly available information, remain naturally curious and be able to analyze and solve complex problems.

This individual must be highly organized and be able to work with a sense of urgency to deliver high quality, timely results.

In addition to strong analytical and clinical skills, this leader will have a polished executive presence and will be comfortable interacting with internal and external stakeholders at all levels of leadership.

Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills are a necessity, in addition to effective conflict resolution skills.

This position will routinely join forces with the following groups : Payer Relations, Compliance, Pharmacy Operations, Legal, Quality and Safety and Field Leadership.

  • 3 to 5 years professional Pharmacist experience with a working knowledge of relevant regulations and controlled substance dispensing requirements
  • Communicate effectively and succinctly with a diverse range of individuals, both written and verbal and with all levels of the organization.

Demonstrates confidence, courage and emotional intelligence.

  • Apply strong clinical and analytical skills to evaluate complex situations, digest data from multiple sources and conduct clinical reviews and interventions
  • Demonstrate sound business decision-making and rationale when presenting facts, data and recommendations to influence diverse business partners, field colleagues and enterprise leaders
  • Think strategically, including defining objectives, analyzing key elements, evaluating risk and developing a strategic framework to support program objectives
  • Employ strong organizational and project management skills to consistently prioritize multiple key objectives, push through obstacles and manage deadlines
  • Deliver results in a fast-paced environment both individually and within a team with shared goals and accountabilities
  • Excellent computer skills including proficiency with Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point

This is a hybrid model role. Candidate must reside within commutable distance of one of our corporate office locations or one of our retail Regional Business Office (RBO) locations and must be able to work regular business hours in EST time zone.

  • 7-10 years’ work experience
  • Registered Pharamcist (RPh) required.
  • Advanced knowledge of problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Strong multi-tasking abilities with the ability to handle competing deadlines; flexible and adaptable.
  • Ability to deal tactfully with customers and community.
  • Advanced communication skills used to lead a team.
  • Advanced execution and delivery (planning, delivering, and supporting) skills
  • Ability to consider the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate option.
  • Ability to function in clinical setting with diverse cultural dynamics of clinical staff and patients.
  • Mastery knowledge of phases of care transitions and resources available for patients.
  • Mastery of digital literacy skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information ethically and responsibly.

Bachelors of Science in Pharmacy required

Pharmacist licensure in good standing

PharmD preferred

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is :

$90,382.50 - $227,100.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.

The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.

This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
