Position Overview : The Human Resources Generalist is a versatile professional responsible for a wide range of HR functions, providing multifaceted support to the organization. This role involves managing the daily operations of the HR department, acting as a crucial liaison between employees and management. The Generalist's duties span across onboarding, benefits administration, employee relations, and ensuring compliance with applicable labor laws and policies
Essential Job Functions :
Facilitate new hire orientations and coordinate all new hire onboarding components based upon position requirementsEmployee Relations : Serving as the go-to person for employee inquiries and concerns. This involves resolving workplace conflicts, and promoting a positive work environment.Assisting employees with benefit inquiries, processing enrollments, and general questions.Record Keeping : Maintaining accurate and confidential employee records, including personal information, employment history, and performance evaluations, often using a Human Resources Information System (HRIS).Training and Development : Organizing and sometimes conducting training sessions for employees on topics like compliance, leadership development, or new company processes.Ensure completion of all new hire paperwork and other company documentation through HRIS.Scan and file completed personnel documents; ensure employee files are up to date and in compliance (both online in HRIS and physical files)Perform audits as needed and support Human Resources Manager in audits being performed within the companySupportive Job Functions (as assigned and time permits) :
Ensure job descriptions are up-to-date and in compliance with employment regulationsSchedule and follow up on 60 Day Reviews; assist with annual evaluationsSupport Human Resource Manager with other projects as assignedEducation and Experience :
Bachelors degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred)2-4 years of prior experience in an HR-related role (preferred)Required Skills / Abilities :
Professional working proficiency in Spanish (preferred)1People-Oriented : A high-energy individual who enjoys interacting with people and possesses strong conflict resolution skills.Dependable and Flexible : The ability to be dependable and adaptable to the ever-changing needs of the company.Organizational Skills : Possesses excellent organizational skills and a strong attention to detail.Communication : Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills, with bilingual abilities (English / Spanish) being a preferred asset. Strong conflict resolution skills.Technical Proficiency : Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software, and skilled in using HRIS systems.Confidentiality : The ability to maintain confidential information is essential to the role.Always represents the company in a positive manner and models company values such as Family Culture, JR Attitude (humility, teachable), Extreme Ownership, and a growth mindset.Work Environment / Physical Requirements :
