Materials Supervisor - First Shift - Fairfield, OH This job is for you if

- You enjoy working closely with project management in order organize, communicate, and support the teams in the field with outbound material
You’ll be
- Managing and assisting with the processing of all warehouse and distribution functions : including receiving, inventory control, material handling, and shipment of goods
- Performing daily, weekly, and monthly preparation and planning to identify and prioritize action steps, set timeframes, identify, and allocates resources necessary to accomplish departmental objectives and ensure coverage during all hours of operation
- Mentor employees to follow all work processes, company policies, and safety programs
- Hires, develops, evaluates, and (when necessary) disciplines and discharges subordinate personnel or makes authoritative recommendations in such matters
- Conducting performance evaluations that are timely and constructive
- Maintaining and ensuring accuracy of the perpetual inventory system
- Measuring and reporting the effectiveness of warehousing activities and employee performance
- Cleanliness and Orderliness of work areas
- Receipt accuracy, condition of goods / packaging and labelling
- Put away accuracy, audits, and cycle counts
- Delivery of components / materials to the right place at the right time
- Performing other related duties as assigned
What you’ll need
- Excellent organizational and planning skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the proven ability to work well with all levels of management and staff
- Proficient with inventory reporting systems
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
- Ability to lead teams in a fast-paced organization with shifting priorities
- Strong focus on customer and cross functional support
- 3-5 years of supervisory / leadership experience in a warehouse setting
- Strong leadership skills with ability to motivate and inspire employees to maximize their efforts in productivity and quality
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds at a time
- NetSuite, MRP and / or ERP system experience preferred
