T he Spirit of the Position :
The Parking Enforcement Officer will be an ambassador by providing information and directions to those needing assistance in finding City / County services as well as popular areas of entertainment and dining within the City.
Principal Job Duties :
Patrol assigned areas on foot and / or in a vehicle to enforce parking regulations in the City of Newport Beach pursuant to the Newport Beach Municipal Code and the California Vehicle Code.
Issue handwritten and computer-generated parking citations and transfer citation data to centralized system.
Maintain a high public visibility and have constant interaction with the public.
Regularly communicate general information regarding citation issuance, parking regulations, citation adjudication
Rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
Work under general supervision and typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
