Administrative Specialist - Human Services Department
Overview :
Our client, a well-respected nonprofit organization, is seeking an Administrative Specialist to support the operations of their Article 16 Clinic and related services. This role is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career professional seeking valuable experience in human services administration, compliance, and client support within a mission-driven environment.
The Administrative Specialist will assist with client intake, maintain accurate records, coordinate with care teams, and support special projects that ensure quality services are delivered to the individuals served.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide administrative support for client intake and service coordination for the agency's Article 16 Clinic.
- Assist with documentation, eligibility verification, and recordkeeping for state and Medicaid programs.
- Serve as a liaison between internal teams and external Care Coordination Organizations (CCOs).
- Maintain and update client information using the Electronic Health Record system (Therap).
- Support departmental projects, audits, and compliance initiatives as needed.
- Provide general administrative support to the Finance Department and other areas as assigned.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's Degree required (Human Services, Psychology, or related field preferred).Strong organizational and communication skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office SuitePrior internship or administrative experience in a nonprofit, healthcare, or human services setting is a plus.Interest in learning about state-funded programs and the OPWDD system.Why Join the Team :
