Location : Federal Way, WA

Schedule : Day 5x8 hour (8.30am to 4.05pm)

Position Type : 34 weeks contract (with possible extension)

Job Summary :

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to support the diverse academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs of students with disabilities. The ideal candidate will provide individualized instruction, collaborate with colleagues and families, and foster an inclusive learning environment where all students can thrive.

Key Responsibilities :

• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in accordance with state and federal regulations.
• Deliver specialized instruction aligned with each student's learning goals.
• Modify curriculum, assessments, and classroom strategies based on student needs.
• Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers to support inclusive practices and accommodations.
• Maintain accurate and timely records, including progress monitoring and compliance documentation.
• Utilize evidence-based practices to support positive behavior and classroom engagement.
• Communicate regularly with families and participate in IEP meetings and other support team discussions.
• Participate in professional development and contribute to a collaborative school culture.
