Program Manager (Broadcast Technology & Infrastructure) :
Optomi, in partnership with a global leader in sports media and entertainment technology, is seeking a Program Manager (Broadcast Technology & Infrastructure) to join their Live Operations & Engineering organization based in Bristol, CT.
This Program Manager will drive the planning, modernization, and large-scale buildouts of broadcast production environments , including Production Control Rooms (PCRs) , Master Control Rooms (MCRs) , and data center infrastructure across major media campuses.
You’ll collaborate with engineering, facilities, IT, and production teams to deliver complex, high-impact infrastructure projects that power live broadcast operations and support new streaming and digital initiatives across the enterprise.
What the Role Involves :
- Lead enterprise-scale broadcast technology projects , from design through deployment, across multiple production and media sites.
- Manage physical buildouts and modernizations of production environments (PCR, MCR, and data center facilities).
- Serve as a technical liaison between production engineers, facilities, and network infrastructure teams.
- Oversee infrastructure design, integration, and signal flow for media systems (e.g., Evertz Mediator, EVS, routing / switching, and playout systems).
- Coordinate cross-functional resources, vendors, and partners to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery .
- Drive documentation, testing, and handoff to operations, ensuring long-term sustainability of new systems.
- Manage OpEx / CapEx budgets , procurement, and project forecasting.
- Ensure alignment with broadcast standards (SMPTE, AES) and internal governance requirements.
What We’re Looking For :
5+ years of experience leading technology or broadcast infrastructure projects in large, matrixed environments.Strong background in broadcast engineering, live production, or media systems integration .Proven success managing PCR and MCR buildouts — non-negotiable.Experience with data center modernization or physical network infrastructure projects.Bachelor’s degree in a STEM, engineering, or technical field , or equivalent professional experience.Familiarity with Agile delivery , program lifecycle management, and tools such as Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, Airtable, and MS Project .Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across engineering, IT, and production teams.Certifications such as PMP or Certified Scrum Master (CSM) are preferred.Prior experience in large-scale broadcast or media organizations is highly desirable.Why This Opportunity Stands Out
