Youth Service Specialist Waterbury, CT. 06702 Full-Time 35 hours / week Salary :

• $43,000-$46,000 ABOUT THE POSITION : The Service Specialist has two primary roles : one as Resource Specialist connecting with service providers and maintaining a list of all community resources from each town in the catchment area and the second as Intervention Specialist facilitating cognitive-behavioral and Life Skills groups to youth.
• The Service Specialist works closely with the Family Advocate in helping to identify what is available in the youth’s and family’s community in order to make a meaningful connection.

Research and maintain a list of all community resources from each town within the catchment area (this includes grassroots agencies, prosocial connections, mental or medical health service, etc.) Responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with community providers Maintains an organized log of time in the community and connections made Serves as a resource to Juvenile Probation Officers who may be seeking information about resources in a specific community Facilitates all cognitive-behavioral group interventions focused on addressing the risk relevant factors identified by the risk / needs assessment.  Group such as :
