Job Title : Certified Behavior Technician (CBT)
Location : Olympia, WA 98502
Duration : 35 weeks
Shift : 8 : 55 AM – 3 : 25 PM (30-min meal break)
Pay Rate : $40 – $42 / hr.
Position Overview
The Certified Behavior Technician (CBT) will provide direct support to students with behavioral challenges within an educational setting. The role involves implementing individualized behavioural interventions under the supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to promote positive student outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) : Follow individualized plans designed by the BCBA to achieve targeted behavioral goals.
- Direct Therapy : Conduct one-on-one or small group ABA sessions focusing on communication, social, self-help, and play skills.
- Collaboration : Work closely with teachers, school staff, and families to ensure consistent implementation of interventions.
- Training & Support : Assist in training and supporting school staff and caregivers on behavioral strategies.
- Crisis Management : Safely and effectively manage behavioral emergencies to maintain a secure learning environment.
Certification & Experience Requirements
Certification : Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification through the Behaviour Analyst Certification Board (BACB), including :Completion of a 40-hour RBT training program.Successful RBT competency assessment.Passing the RBT examination.Experience : Prior experience in a behavioral health or educational setting preferred.
