The Leader in Training (LIT) and Floor Leader position's primary responsibility is to fulfill our mission statement : "To create the most enjoyable shopping experience possible for our Guests." The LIT and Floor Leader performs a variety of sales, merchandising and operational tasks assigned by store management (e.g. cashiering, merchandise display and pulls, register procedures, and routine cleaning of facilities). Works directly with the Store Manager and Leadership Team to develop sales, recruit new Teammates and provide leadership.

Sales Generation and Guest Service
- Greet Guests with a friendly, engaging attitude, and provide legendary service to each Guest
- Answer questions regarding the store and its merchandise
- Recommend, select, and help locate or obtain merchandise based on Guest needs and desires
- Anticipate and fulfill Guest needs by suggesting additional items and creating a wardrobing experience
- Demonstrate product knowledge and sales education, sharing that knowledge with Team
- Maintain and share knowledge of current sales and promotions, policies regarding payment and exchanges, and security practices
- Remain consistent on personal sales, and look for opportunities to impact Teammates' presentations with the Sales Presentation Guide (SPG)
- Achieve personal sales-per-hour, average sales and total net sales goals set by Store Management
- Provide legendary service throughout the store in Front 5, sales floor, fitting rooms, and the register area
- Knowledgeable of all exchange and return procedures and turn them into showmanship opportunities
- Fill out and effectively use the SPG daily to accomplish goals
- Meet or exceed performance standards in Buckle business builders and guest loyalty activities
- Investigate and navigate how to expand Guest selection through inventory management tools
- Maintain and build good Guest relationships to develop a client-based business
- Lead by example with a high level of showmanship, customer service and attentiveness
- Recognize and communicate Guest Levels with the Team
- Ask business-driven and showmanship questions to Manager, Team Leaders and all Teammates
- Be coached by Manager to learn in sales presentation
- Consistently perform leadership actions and maintain high standards, whether or not the Manager is present
Teammate Recruiting, Training and Development

Education And / or Experience
High school diploma or GED; or 1-3 months related retail experience and / or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical Demands

The Teammate must regularly stand, walk, use hands, reach, and may climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 lbs is required. Vision requirements include near, far, color, peripheral, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
