Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper / Accountant to join our Finance team. Working under the direction of the Assistant Chief Financial Officer, this role will support accounting and payroll functions for multiple entities, ensuring accurate recordkeeping and smooth financial operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES :
- Under the direction of the Assistant Chief Financial Officer, manage Accounts Payable, paying bills via paper check, bank ACH, payment on vendor portals or via charges to Ramp.
- Responsible for effectively managing and recording all deposits, which includes recording all ACH and paper deposits in all accounts.
- Responsible for reconciliation of bank and credit card statements for 11 entities.
- Responsible for all month-end, quarter-end and year-end journal entries as needed.
- Maintain electronic filing of all accounting data.
- Prepare compliance returns as needed for sales tax, property tax, 1099s and other returns as needed. Prepare yearly city business licenses for Greenville, Greer, Easley, and other cities as appropriate for the various office locations.
- Assists the Assistant CFO in accounting for all joint venture and real estate entities.
- Support monthly accounting activity and month end process for all 11 entities.
- Provide back-up to Staff Accountant.
- As a member of the Finance team, support and implement internal control processes.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Education, Experience, and Skills :
High school diploma with 5–7 years of bookkeeping experience required.Associate or bachelor's degree in accounting or related field preferred.Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.Excellent communication and customer service skills.Ability to communicate financial data clearly.Experience in a medical office or multi-entity environment preferred.Benefits & Perks :

Final candidates must complete a background check authorization form and return it to Human Resources.
Human Resources will order the background check upon receipt of the signed release form, and either internal HR staff or an employment screening service will conduct the checks. A designated HR representative will review all results.
The HR representative will notify the hiring manager regarding the results of the check. In instances where negative or incomplete information is obtained, the appropriate management and the director of Human Resources will assess the potential risks and liabilities related to the job's requirements and determine whether the individual should be hired. If a decision not to hire or promote a candidate is made based on the results of a background check, there may be certain additional Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) requirements that will be handled by Human Resources in conjunction with the employment screening service (if applicable).
Background check information will be maintained in a file separate from employees' personnel files for a minimum of five years.
