Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Manage traditional Civil Engineering Design projects (including landfill projects)
- Oversee development of permit applications and design drawings for solid waste and electric utility facilities
- Oversee development of closure and post closure plans for ash ponds (drawings and specifications)
- Oversee development of construction quality assurance reports for landfill liner and final cover systems
- Perform and/or oversee technical work associated with landfill design, slope stability analysis, stormwater control, and landfill gas collection and control systems (GCCS)
- Mentor staff and project level personnel
- Project management of all phases of projects including drilling, lab testing, engineering analyses, report preparation and invoicing
- Management and control of project budgets
- Technical and fee proposal preparation, Reviewing deliverables
Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
- Indiana and Ohio Professional Engineer registration (or ability to attain by reciprocity)
- Degree in Civil Engineering
- Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering with geotechnical engineering emphasis preferred
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Valid Driver’s License
- Experience with landfill permitting, design, and construction quality assurance
- Experience with landfill slope stability analysis and landfill gas collection and control system (GCCS) design
- Experience with coal combustion residuals landfills and ash ponds
Other miscellaneous qualities:
- Travel usually within the State of Indiana and surrounding states: up to 20%
