Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Manage traditional Civil Engineering Design projects (including landfill projects)
• Oversee development of permit applications and design drawings for solid waste and electric utility facilities
• Oversee development of closure and post closure plans for ash ponds (drawings and specifications)
• Oversee development of construction quality assurance reports for landfill liner and final cover systems
• Perform and/or oversee technical work associated with landfill design, slope stability analysis, stormwater control, and landfill gas collection and control systems (GCCS)
• Mentor staff and project level personnel
• Project management of all phases of projects including drilling, lab testing, engineering analyses, report preparation and invoicing
• Management and control of project budgets
• Technical and fee proposal preparation, Reviewing deliverables

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

• Indiana and Ohio Professional Engineer registration (or ability to attain by reciprocity)
• Degree in Civil Engineering
• Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering with geotechnical engineering emphasis preferred
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Valid Driver’s License
• Experience with landfill permitting, design, and construction quality assurance
• Experience with landfill slope stability analysis and landfill gas collection and control system (GCCS) design
• Experience with coal combustion residuals landfills and ash ponds

Other miscellaneous qualities:

• Travel usually within the State of Indiana and surrounding states: up to 20%
