This is a Full-time & 100% Remote position

As a Senior Enterprise Project Manager, this position reports to the ePMO - Shared Services with a focus on corporate and HR.

This position oversees high-priority and high visibility large and extra-large projects, which often require considerable resources across multiple lines of business.

This position has responsibility for all aspects of the project over the entire lifecycle of the project using waterfall, hybrid, or agile practices as needed.

Operating within a matrix environment, this position manages operational and tactical aspects of projects, fostering effective teamwork, and building strong internal and external relationships.

This position is responsible for coaching and mentoring junior staff and leading departmental process improvement initiatives.

This role operates within a fast-paced environment, with the ability to multitask and delegate effectively.

  • Provides leadership, vision, and direction setting for both project team and business partners.
  • Demonstrates superior collaboration skills and techniques which appropriately define alternate solutions, resolve conflicts, and create lasting, productive partnerships with the units they support
  • Actively participates in cross-functional groups to solve problems across projects. Provides resources and organizational structure to promote collaborative initiatives
  • Utilizes a network of relationships to collect and disseminate information, build support, and secure buy-in for desired objectives

Required Experience :

  • 6+ years of relevant experience with degree
  • 10+ years of relevant experience without degree
  • Experience managing Waterfall methodology and hybrid methodology projects (Waterfall / Agile)

Preferred :

  • CAPM / PMP / ACP / PgMP / MSP or equivalent or must be obtained within 1 year of hire
  • Experience managing projects in Corporate, HR, Finance, Supply Chain departments in a health care delivery system
  • Experience managing software development projects

General Experience :

  • Healthcare experience preferred; experience with care delivery (ambulatory, hospital, post-acute), health plan and / or technical project management a plus.
  • Proven excellence in project management, leading and facilitating large and extra-large sized projects or workstreams of larger projects.
  • Addresses emerging issues quickly to surface root causes, corrective action / options, and impact assessments for projects.

Drive decisions for simple and complex matters.

  • Consistently applies deep and broad experience to influence execution outcomes.
  • Displays an attitude of stability and confidence even in times of uncertainty.
  • Commands respect from all levels within the organization.
  • Skillfully and consistently identifies and applies project management skills and advanced techniques (critical path, earned value, crashing, dependency mapping, scenario modeling) to obtain consistently positive results.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills to influence change and collaborate across different levels of the organization.

Comfortable presenting to large groups.

  • Demonstrated deep experience in managing stakeholders based on analysis.
  • Uses data and information to ensure project variances, risks, and issues are appropriately managed.
  • Proven ability to mentor, coach, and guide team members displaying positive results.
  • Demonstrates a good understanding of business interdependencies.
  • Identifies and manages dependencies across workstreams and other projects.
  • Continually and proactively seeks opportunities to improve processes, make recommendations and / or involve others to implement.
  • Examines unexpected results with critical thinking to determine the root cause of outcomes. Ensures the availability and reliability of the data.
  • Displays strong business acumen, such as assessing when industry-related details impact project work or outcomes, challenges things that are not working, and offers alternatives to improve outcomes.
  • Anticipates and manages changes in strategy, tactics, and / or organization that can have impacts on multiple large, complex projects.
  • Demonstrates experience in vendor management that enables recommendation of the best approach, the ideal solution candidates, and the expected processes.
  • Demonstrates a good understanding of most of the organization’s core systems, how systems integrate, and technical interdependence.
