Master Control Technician

GENERAL FUNCTION :

To efficiently perform Master Control Operations including switching multiple source on-air transitions, monitoring and IDing live and pre-recorded programs, recording and dubbing, and heads and tails editing.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Proficient in Dalet Galaxy newsroom system as it relates to Master Control functionality.
• Consistently operates character generators and program keyers to properly present graphic material adhering to C-SPAN format and look.
• Proficient in switching in master control with server, pre-recorded and / or multiple source lives manually and using the Automation System.
• Records in-house and remote signals in Dalet Ingest Manager; dubs various formats into the server via Adobe Premier, assuring quality control of audio, video and closed captioning.
• Basic understanding of PCR operations. Demonstrates the ability to set up audio mixes and squeezes for feeds and Direct simple 2 cam pool feeds.
• Basic troubleshooting skills. Handles equipment with care and respect.
• Proficient in editing and keying heads and tails via Adobe Premier and Dalet.
