Registered Radiologist Assistant

This is a full-time, benefitted position, primarily based at Inova Fairfax Hospital (may include occasional work at other Inova Hospitals within the system).

The hours are Monday Friday, 8 : 00 AM 4 : 30 PM. No call, evenings, holidays, or weekends.

This position is eligible for a sign-on bonus

Who you are :

As a Registered Radiologist Assistant (RRA) for Fairfax Radiological Consultants, PLLC, you are an integral part of the care delivery team of Interventional Radiologists, devoted to advancing patient care through the innovative integration of imaging-based diagnosis and minimally invasive therapies.

What you’ll do :

• Assists Radiologists in performing diagnostic fluoroscopic studies
• UGIS, SBFT, BE, VCUG, Esophagrams, Modified Swallow Studies, etc.
• Assists Radiologists in performing fluoroscopically guided invasive procedures
• LPs, arthrograms, diagnostic and / or therapeutic joint injections, etc.
• Completes detailed assessment of patient
• Prepares patients for procedures
• Prepares equipment for procedures
• Administers contrast agents, as ordered by the Radiologist, and monitors patients for any adverse reactions.
• Assists with patient positioning and immobilization during procedures.

What you’ll bring :

• 3+ years’ experience preferably in a hospital or clinical setting as a Registered Radiologist Assistant
• Radiography Certification with ARRT and Registered Radiology Assistant (RRA) certification.
• Active and unencumbered license as a Radiologist Assistant in Virginia
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Education :
• If you completed your program before January 1, 2023, you’ll need to have earned a bachelor’s degree from an ARRT accredited program
• If you completed your program after January 1, 2023, you’ll need to have earned a master’s or a doctoral degree from an ARRT accredited program
